Weekend at Grandma and Papa's

This weekend we drove over to the Tri-Cities to visit Grandma and Papa. Curtis and his Dad had a golf tournament to play in so the whole family thought it would be a fun trip. And who couldn't resist the warm sunshine of Eastern Washington! Not me!

Today was just a lazy day but I did get some cute pictures of the kids and the gigantic beach ball. I looked back in our picture archives and found pictures of Sadie and Cooper over the last 3 years. Its so cute to see how they have changed.

Two celebrations in one week!

This was definitely a week of celebrations for me. Sunday was of course Mother's Day which was just fantastic! My hubby and little ones started off by bringing me breakfast in bed, which was so yummy! Then we spent the afternoon down on the waterfront riding the carousel, eating cotton candy and walking through Pike Place Market. For lunch we went to my favorite burger joint, Red Mill Burgers...so good!! We finally capped the day off with a special Sunday Night Dinner at Grandma and Granddad's where all the daddy's cooked a wonderful dinner for the mommy's. It was such a amazing day but the celebrating didn't end there....
Today is my birthday and I was woken up to my beautiful baby girl standing next to my bed singing Happy Birthday! After breakfast everyone gave me my presents and although I loved them all, I have to say...Sadie's was the most creative...a turtle pinata! We had to hang it up right away and get the candy out which the kids loved. It took Sadie a couple of tries (okay...like 50!) but we were patient and let her have her fun. Coop even took a few swings. What a great way to celebrate my birthday! Thank you to everyone who called, emailed and texted me...I appreciate every one's happy wishes!

Finally...sunny days!

Finally...after so much rain and cold days, we were blessed with sunshine and warm weather today. Sophia came over for a few hours of playtime and Damon and Molly brought little Ella over for a visit as well. We were able to enjoy our new beautiful back yard and just relax after weeks of not stop movement. It was exactly what we all needed!

Finally...the big move is over!!

Finally...after two month's worth of prep and stress...the big move from Snoqualmie to Mercer Island is over. Thank goodness! If there is anything I hate more in this world ... its moving!! So, last Saturday we moved into our new house and are now attempting to get settled. Not only is our house amazing...our neighborhood, and neighbors are absolutely the most welcoming people we have ever met! On our first day here, we had cookies and coffee brought to our door and many other offers for goodies. Then, when all the heavy lifting was done, we were invited over for beers which of course made both of us happy. There are tons of kids every where ... some young enough to be friends with Sadie and Cooper but some old enough to be BABYSITTERS for Sadie and Cooper!! I really think we picked a great house in a great neighborhood. I can't feel luckier to have found such an amazing place! Here are some pictures from the move....I wish I had taken more but it was a stressful couple of days and picture taking was unfortunately the least on my priority list.

I know its a little distorted but this is the first picture of Sadie, Cooper and Sydney entering their new house. The couldn't wait! Daddy even got Mommy (and Sadie) a princess key for their new locks. How cute!

Daddy's new house warming gift to Sadie and Coop...the only catch was THEY had to put it together ;-)

The big moving day! At least it didn't rain.
