1st trip of the year to Desert Aire!

This past weekend we took our very first trip of the year to Desert Aire. We knew it would be a little cold still and there wouldn't be any swimming in the pool, but its still fun to go over and hang out. We invited 3 other couples to join us, two of which had never experienced the likes of Desert Aire. As always, it was a weekend of relaxing, drinking, golfing, basketball watching (it is March Madness for heavens sake!), card playing (did anyone else know that Skipbo takes like 5 hours to play one hand?) and yes...more drinking. All in all it was a great weekend and we are so glad to have our friends there to share it with us.
What excitement! Drinking...eating...and watching March Madness!
The kids were loving Granddad's chair...as always!
Thanks to Andrea, the girls actually got motivated to steal away for a round of golf!
(Okay...maybe not a whole round...maybe just 7 holes. We were too drunk to continue!)
Bedtime for all those 4 ft. and under
And finally, some relaxing time for the parents.
Doesn't every vacation have a picture of everyone in the hot tub?

It snowed....AGAIN!

With Spring just days away, the snow has returned once again to the great Northwest. I really couldn't believe it when the white stuff started fluttering out of the sky on Monday and before we knew it...actually about an hour later...we already had 3 inches! Seriously...I'm DONE with the snow. I want some warm sunshine!! Summer can not come soon enough for me.

Below are just a few cute pictures I've taken over the last week that I thought I would share. Its been a good week...Cousin Will's first birthday, playing in the snow and gymnastics class. What more could you ask for right?

Seriously...when is it going to be spring time!
I just love the snow!
Hey...I can actually run in this marshmallow jacket!
A snowy wonderland once again!

The craziest two and a half weeks....

Well...the last two and a half weeks have definitely been an incredible whirlwind in the Jensen household. As most of you know, we decided to put our house on the market and see what happens. We honestly thought we'd be in it for the long haul and have to keep the house spotless on a daily basis in case anyone wanted to see it. I totally hated this!! With two kids, all I did during the day was follow them around picking up their messes (like that's anything new though). But I digress... Back to the original story.
We listed our house on Monday, February 23rd with hopes that weren't two high. Believe or not, by Sunday March 1st we had an offer...a low offer...but an offer. We kind of expected that offers would come in low due to a short sale in the neighborhood so we were willing to work with it. Two days later we actually had a deal! The best part is that we sold it for almost exactly "our number" ... not what we listed it at but what we really wanted to get out of it. Incredible!
So, we sold our house and now had to find a new place to live way sooner then expected. We had been slowly looking at houses on Mercer Island and had found one we really loved but didn't think we had pray because it was WAY over our budget. We talked to our agent and decided that because of the market the way it is people are taking low offers just to sell. This house had been on the market for a while with no offers so what the hell...let's try. We put in an offer slightly below our budget, which was WAY below their asking and just crossed our fingers. Two days later and one round of negotiations, we had a deal (however we are still waiting for the final paperwork to come through!!!). We are so excited!
Everything is happening so fast but I told myself that if it happened as it has, then it was meant to be. If we sat on our house for 6 months without selling it, we weren't supposed to move. Well...we definitely got our answers! In less then 2 1/2 weeks, we sold a house and bought a new one.
CRAZY!
Below are some pictures of our new house! Remember however, until everything is signed sealed and delivered...or closed as they say...its not officially are. But, we're thinking positively!
