Christmas Eve!

Its Christmas Eve...let the madness begin! The morning started out with Mommy and Sadie sleeping in and Daddy and Cooper making snowman pancakes. Anything goes when its Christmas time ... even sitting on the counters! After breakfast, Mommy, Sadie and Cooper made Christmas cookies for Santa because what's Christmas Eve without yummy cookies!
Christmas Eve night was an amazing dinner of Prime Rib (Mommy's favorite) with Grandma, Papa and Auntie Momo. When our bellies where full it was time to open everyone's Christmas Eve gift. Sadie and Coop got the cutest Pillow Pet's (if any of you Mom's want to know what they are...just let me know. They are awesome!) Finally it was a little dancing with the Dancing Santa's and then off to bed.
....visions of sugar plums danced in their head.

Daddy let all caution to the wind and put frosting on the pancakes. Yummy!

It's cookie time!

Ohhhh...what could it be?

We added a new Dancing Santa to the collection this year. Thanks Grandma and Papa!

Snoqualmie Santa Train

After living up in Snoqualmie for 5 years and never riding the Santa train, we decided to venture back up to our old hood and hop on the rails. The Ballard Prock family joined the Jensens for this winter activity and hoped to get a chance to sit on Santa's lap. It was cold...very cold...but the kids had a blast the the adults actually enjoyed the trip as well. The Santa Train is definitely a must for the coming years!

Sadie was finally not scared out of her mind to sit on Santa's lap.
I have a feeling it was because her best friend Sophia was there to do it with her!

Hot chocolate and cookies always tastes good on a cold day

Come on will...follow me! I promise not to get you into trouble....

Sadie's School Holiday Concert

Sadie's preschool, Pixie Hill, had their Holiday concert and party last week which was so much for to attend. Sadie had given us a sneak peek of what to expect in the weeks leading up to the concert which I guess was good because when she actually got up in front of everyone, her mouth never opened! She's just a little shy. Nonetheless, it was so much fun to see her up there with all her friends and classmates. They did a great job and I can't wait for the next one!

Jingle Bells with real bells

Even though she didn't sing, she did do all the hand movements!

Granddad was able to join us for the party which is always a nice treat!

Bobo's 1st Visit!

I've finally found a little time to update my blog but I'll have to go back a couple of weeks to catch up from where I left off. I don't want to miss any of the fun stuff that has been happening in the Jensen household lately! So, here goes....
At Sadie's new school, Pixie Hill, the kids get to enjoy a class pet named Bobo (the cutest, definitely well loved little stuffed animal dog you've ever seen!) The best part about having Bobo as the class pet is that each Child gets to take Bobo home for a week to share in all of their adventures. Since school started back in September, Sadie has be waiting patiently for her turn to bring Bobo home and finally, a couple of weeks ago, Bobo arrived! We had so much fun including Bobo in on all of our adventures and had even more fun capturing it all in Bobo's journal. We can't wait to have Bobo back again!

Family Picture Day!

Today was the annual Prock, Jensen, Maurer, Bonar picture day. As always, it was organized chaos but the faithful Yuen Lui studio did a fantastic job! All the little ones looked so cute dressed up and the adults clean up pretty well too. We tried to get a few quick pics in of just us and the kids before we left ....
I swear I love my brother...most of the time!
Sadie actually took this picture...not bad!

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was one of Sadie's very favorite holidays of the whole year (out of the ones where you don't get presents that is!) It was Halloween and Seattle was blessed with a cold, crisp, clear day and night which was a nice change from the rainy weather we've been having. We started the day out by visiting cousins Sophia and Will at their house because we had to get the two Tinkerbells in their costumes! So cute! After so playtime with the cousins it was off to Granddad and Grandmas for a trick-o-treat and then to our new neighborhood to meet up with the other kids. Sadie had so much fun trick-o-treating with her new friends Anna and Audrey but it was Coop who really got into the evening. No matter how far we walked he wouldn't let anyone carry him or carry his 10lbs. of candy in his pumpkin! He kept right up with all the older girls and pushed his way in at each door to get to that candy. Go Coop! Once we got back to our house it was bath and bedtime. As for kids coming to our house to trick-o-treat, I was actually surprised at how many kids we actually got down our big steep hill! I had left the candy out on the porch for 10 mins. while I helped with bath time and when I came back, all of our candy was gone and someone replaced it with what they had in their bags! Never seen that one before...usually they just take whole bowl and run!

So another Halloween has come and gone and now its on to the real holiday season. I can't wait to celebrate in our new house!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Coop wanted to wear a hat last night so of course we had to support our Ducks! Go Ducks!

Our next door neighbors really went all out with the decorations and Coop was loving it.

He had to touch everything!

My little Trick-o-Treaters...so cute!

Sadie just loves her new friends Anna and Audrey. She was so excited to be able to Trick-o-Treat with them this year.

And Coop...well he just loved being the only man with all the girls...of course!

By the end of the Trick-o-Treating, Sadie was pooped but Coop...well...he was still ready for more! Look our future Halloweens....

Sadie's Preschool Class Pumpkin Party!

Last Wednesday night Sadie's Preschool class hosted their annual Daddy's Pumpkin Carving Party. Unfortunately, Daddy was out of town but Sadie said it was alright if I took his place...just this once. Of course, I didn't mind one bit and enjoyed a little Sadie and Mommy time! We started the evening out carving the pumpkins we had picked out on our field trip to Kelsey Creek Farm the Monday before (in the pooooorrrring down rain might I add!) Once all the pumpkins were carved, the parents were treated to a wonderful program of Halloween songs the kids had been learning all month. It was a great evening and I'm so glad I was able to go. And don't worry...I got everything on video so Daddy could enjoy it when he got home!

What a weekend!

What a busy weekend we had! On Friday night Sophia came over for a sleep over which is always fun. The girls got to stay up extra late and watch Cinderella and eat popcorn. And on Saturday night, Daddy and Sadie decided to have a camp out...indoors of course! They put the tent up in the living room, made smores over the stove top and actually sleep in the tent, on the hard wood floors, all night long! Mommy decided to let Daddy have all the fun with this activity and slept in a nice comfy bed! On Sunday the family took their annual pumpkin patch trip to Remlinger Farms in Carnation. As usual, it was muddy, cold and wet but oh so much fun! Cooper was a little terrified of the tractor and just stood and stared at it the whole time but otherwise we found some great pumpkins for carving. An annual tradition that just can't be missed!
We love popcorn! We love popcorn!

Cooper just LOVES his cousin Sophia!

I know its been a VERY long time (once again) since I've updated my blog but as life goes, things have been busy, busy, busy. But I thought it time to start up again especially since i have some great pictures to share from our recent trip to Costa Rica! Curtis had a fantastic year last year at work and won President's Club. His reward was an all expense paid trip for him and his wife (me!!) to the Four Seasons on Costa Rica's Peninsula Papagayo. There really is only one work to describe this place...amazing! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tropical vacation outside the normal spots of Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean. Its beautiful, quiet and the people are very nice. All in all, it was a much needed trip for Curtis and I and I can't wait until he wins again next year! ;-) Here's some of the best pictures from the week....

Let the party begin! We had a hospitality suite at our disposal all week with snacks, drinks and the Stanley Cup. Trust me...you do NOT want to know what the Stanley Cup contained.

A real live monkey...oh wait...its just Mark.
