HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Tonight of course was the big night... HALLOWEEN! Sadie was so excited and Cooper didn't know what to think. We started out our adventure at Ava's house who just happened to be dressed as the exact same butterfly as Sadie.
SO CUTE!!

Then it was off to the Harrison's where we have gone for 3 years now to have pictures taken with the same kids on the same couch. Of course, there's been a couple of additions since the beginning...Cooper!

The family Halloween Picture!

Cooper's 1st Trick-0-Treating experience!

After the Harrison's it was off to Jaimie and Mark's neighborhood. Not only did we see Jaimie, Mark, Hank and Thumper (their dogs), but we also got to see the ghosts of Jaimie's Mom and Dad, Bob and Jackie. Sadie was a little scared at first...okay...really scared...but once they took off their sheets, she realized who it was and everything was okay. It was quite funny to watch!

Believe it or not, we ended up running into Miss Ava, our butterfly friend, at Bob and Jackie's and got to finish the Trick-o-Treating night out with her. They were even pushed the last 100 yards in a stroller! I don't ever remember getting pampered like that when I was their age!

In the end, Sadie came out pretty good on her candy hall. I don't think Mom and Dad will actually let her eat all of this but its fun for her to think! All in all, she had a wonderful Halloween as did Cooper. Another great year with friends!

Look at all my loot!

Halloween Costumes

Last night we put the kids in their Halloween costumes for some pictures because we knew tonight would be a little chaotic. We were able to get some cute ones of the two together.

Madam Butterfly and the Pirate

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little brother!

I was looking back on Halloweens of the past and realized we got the exact same picture of Sadie this year, standing on the porch with her pumpkins, as we did from when she was only 1 1/2 years old. Its so amazing, once again, to see how much she has grown-up in such a short time!

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight was pumpkin carving night at the Jensen household. When I picked Sadie up from school today, the first thing out of her mouth was..."Is Daddy home? I want to take the seeds out of my pumpkins!!" Unfortunetly, we had to wait a little while until Daddy finished up some work but as soon as he was done, Sadie dug in. The big one is hers and the little one is her brothers. Cooper's was a little too small to carve so we put some Mr. Potato Head pieces in it instead. It worked perfectly!

Only 2 more days until Halloween!

Sophia and Will's Visit

One of Sadie's very favorite people in the whole wide world came over for dinner tonight...SOPHIA! Her Mom, Dad and baby brother joined her as well and we had a great evening. Sadie and Sophia played dress-up, sang songs and made up dances for us to watch as Cooper and Will sat on the floor and stared at each other. Will wasn't feeling all to well this afternoon, trying hard to get over two very bad ear infections, so he wasn't on his game, otherwise he and Cooper would have been much more lively together. Cooper tried very hard to get Will to play but alas, he just sat there. Soon they will be running all over the house just like Sadie and Sophia! After everyone left, Sadie asked me if we could please has Sophia, Marisa, Stella, Clara, Griffin and Logan over for a sleepover soon. She just loves her cousins!

My little ballerina!

In order to keep Sadie busy these days, I've signed her up for Ballet classes. Some days she loves it, other days I can't get her to put on her leotard. Today we had a make-up class and since it was Saturday, Daddy got to take her to class. So, of course, she was so excited to go and have Daddy watch her! I have to say, she does look awfully cute in her little pink leotard and ballet slippers. She even gets to wear tap shoes half way through the class. I can't imagine being the teacher during that part of class...5 little 3-year olds wearing tap shoes on a wood floor...definitely not quiet!

Halloween Cookies!

Sadie and I made Halloween cookies this weekend which was a lot of fun for both of us. The rolling of the dough and cutting out of pumpkins, ghosts and black cats was just the beginning. Frosting the cookies was the best part! I think there was about a pound of frosting and 2 pounds of sprinkles on each of her cookies. Yummy! She loved every minute of it!
This is the first time we've made cookies with cookie cutters and frosting so it starts a new tradition for us. I always loved making Christmas cookies with my mom and couldn't wait to start the tradition with Sadie!

Fun in the Florida sun (and rain)!

Well..they made it! Sadie and Curtis are back home safe and sound from their adventures across the country. The trip to Florida was a huge success and they had so much fun together. Sadie loved getting to know her cousin Cailin better and meeting her new cousin Ashlyn for the first time. It was kind of rainy while they were there so they didn't get to do everything they wanted but still filled the days with fun stuff. Thanks to Uncle Clinty and Auntie Lisa for being such wonderful hosts and taking care of my hubby and little girl.

Daddy and Sadie's Big Adventure!

Curtis and Sadie just took off for a 5 day trip to Florida to visit Uncle Clint, Auntie Lisa, Cailin and Ashlyn. Cooper and I stayed at home this time because as you all know, traveling with a family of 4 is not cheap! I actually started to cry as I pulled away from the airport after dropping them off. Watching Sadie walk inside with her little backpack on made me realize how fast she is growing up. I know they will have an incredible trip together and it will be a great opportunity for Daddy and Daughter to bond but....I have never been away from my baby girl for this long! I miss her already.

I can't wait to hear all about her adventure and will let everyone know how it goes. It might be a rough night for Curtis (they are taking the red-eye to Miami and arrive at 6am EST...3am PST!) but I know he can handle it. He's an amazing father!

I miss you both already!!

Do you think he wants out?

Step 1: Find a good place to push...

Step 2: Move the gate away from the wall...

Step 3: Just keep pushing...and pushing...and pushing...

Obviously he's tired of being locked behind the gate.
But this is why I need the gate!!

Where's Cooper?

Where's Cooper hiding now?

You know how some kids just love to play hide-and-seek. Well, Cooper has learned this game at a very young age. The other day I had left the family room for a second to check something on my computer. When I came back Cooper was no where in site. Now, you all know our family room isn't that big so I knew he was there somewhere. But where was he?

Here I am Mommy! Cooper's new favorite hiding place.

The best is when Cooper AND Sadie get in this tiny little hole together. So funny!

Cooper's other favorite...or not so favorite hiding place...

Cooper's Halloween Regimen

Curtis and I we have recently implemented a tough new workout regimen for Coop. He's been on the verge of walking ... I mean running! ... for about a month now but we've finally put a time limit on him. He has to be walking on his own by Halloween! The reason...I'm not carrying him all over the neighbrohood for trick-o-treating and his costume is so cute if he was standing up! So, we've got Sadie in on it too and she's been a great big sister by helping Cooper walk from one side of the room to the other. Sometimes however, its more like dragging Cooper from one side of the room to the other. She just doesn't know her own strength sometimes!

Cooper's 1st Pumpkin Patch

This weekend was a new 1st for Cooper...his very first trip to the Pumpkin Patch! He wasn't quite sure about the pumpkins at first but then was very excited to see everything.

Sadie and Grant have been going to the Pumpkin Patch together for 3 years now which has been so much fun for them both. I was looking back at the pictures from each year and can't believe how much they have grown up. Are they really 3 years old already!! Where has the time gone? Everyone tells you when you're pregnant that "kids grow up so fast" but you never really believe it (especially during the first few months ;-) until you are 3, 4, 18 years into it. Crazy!
