Snow Storm Round 2...or 5...I can't keep track!

Things here in the beautiful Northwest are getting a bit crazy in regards to the weather. I mean...crazier! After Saturday's record breaking wind/snow storm, today we woke up to 4 more inches of snow and its still coming down. Unfortunately, its quite windy as well so that means no playtime for Sadie yet. Hopefully it will calm down soon!

Christmas Storm 2008

Last night was one of the most amazing, terrifying, nights I have had in a long time...maybe ever. The "BIG" storm that everyone was predicting really took hold of Snoqualmie and the surrounding foothills with winds gusting upwards of 70-90mph throughout the night and whiteout conditions like I've never seen. Cooper, Sadie and I had a "camp out" on the floor downstairs with Papa and Sydney sleeping on the couch because it was just too loud upstairs...but unfortunately, there wasn't much sleeping! I really do think that last night was bigger and badder then the windstorm we endured 2 years ago. Although thankfully, we only lost our power throughout the night and not for 6 days! As of right now, 9:30am, its still blowing pretty hard outside but nothing like last night. Believe it or not, we are still supposed to get 4 more inches of snow today. I hope Daddy is able to make it home from Vegas!!

Sadie's Holiday Concert (sort of)

Well, there was one drawback to the beautiful snow that fell today. Since school was obviously cancelled, so was Sadie's very first Holiday Concert that was schedule for tonight. I think I was a little more bummed out then Sadie was and was really looking forward to seeing and hearing her sing. So, we decided to put our own concert on here at home with a stage, microphone and her pretty dress. She sang two songs, one about Thanksgiving and one from Charlie Brown's Christmas. She had memorized all the words and did a fantastic job. When she was all done, she wanted to her Daddy to get up and sing to...which was really funny!

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!

Finally, the snow that the news had been predicting for 2 days arrived last night and as of this afternoon, we have close to 8 inches. Its absolutely beautiful! Sadie, of course, loved playing in it but Cooper wasn't so sure at first. Being that this was his very first time in the snow, he was a little hesitant. But that didn't last long! Before we knew it, he was laughing and giggling right along with Sadie.

So cute!

Christmas Breakfast 2008

Uncle Christopher and Auntie Lissa invited us all to a Christmas breakfast this morning for the Lynnwood Rotary. We got to see Sophia, Will, Stella and Clara which is always fun. The girls looked beautiful in their Christmas dresses and had so much fun together...until the Grinch showed up. He was a little scary...even to the adults. I didn't know the Grinch had a beard?

I'm not so sure about this Santa guy

Seriously Daddy...don't leave me with this crazy green person!

My little Ladies Man

As all of you know, Eric and Tracy are getting married in January and all four of the Jensens are in the wedding. Cooper is wearing a tux just like his Daddy and it arrived in the mail today. I wanted to send a couple pictures to Eric and Tracy so they could see exactly what we ordered so I subjected Cooper to a quick fashion show this morning. I'm not bias or anything but Cooper look ADORABLE! He's definitely my little ladies man!

HEY LADIES!

It even comes with Jacket! Now I can be EXACTLY like Daddy!

Thanksgiving Weekend 2008

This Thanksgiving we traveled to the Tri-Cities to visit Grandma and Papa for Thanksgiving. It was a great weekend filled with good food, good wine and good friends. Its so hard to believe that its almost December and 2008 is coming to a close. What a year its been!

I'M STUFFED but I think I still have room for this car!

Sadie's first ride on a horse

Mommy...I am NOT a girl!

If driving 3 hours home with two kids in the car wasn't enough, we decided to turn right back around and head up to North Bend for our Annual Christmas Tree hunt. This year Cooper was old enough to join us and we brought along our very good friends the Griffins. It was cold, rainy and muddy ... just as it should be! We found the perfect tree and as in the past, when we got it home, realized it was bigger then the room we wanted to put it in!
You'd think we would learn!

Cooper's 1st Birthday Party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOPER!

Even though Cooper's real birthday isn't until Friday, we had a little family birthday celebration for him on Sunday. Everyone had a good time despite the craziness that was our house full of little kids. Its truly hard to believe that Cooper is already a year old!

Mmmmm...what is this yummy stuff! I just love cake!

Ooops! Sorry Cooper!

Just some funny pictures

I was downloading some pictures today and just thought a couple of them were really funny.
So ... I had to share!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Tonight of course was the big night... HALLOWEEN! Sadie was so excited and Cooper didn't know what to think. We started out our adventure at Ava's house who just happened to be dressed as the exact same butterfly as Sadie.
SO CUTE!!

Sadie and Ava as butterflies!

Then it was off to the Harrison's where we have gone for 3 years now to have pictures taken with the same kids on the same couch. Of course, there's been a couple of additions since the beginning...Cooper!

Cooper's 1st Trick-0-Treating experience!

After the Harrison's it was off to Jaimie and Mark's neighborhood. Not only did we see Jaimie, Mark, Hank and Thumper (their dogs), but we also got to see the ghosts of Jaimie's Mom and Dad, Bob and Jackie. Sadie was a little scared at first...okay...really scared...but once they took off their sheets, she realized who it was and everything was okay. It was quite funny to watch!

Believe it or not, we ended up running into Miss Ava, our butterfly friend, at Bob and Jackie's and got to finish the Trick-o-Treating night out with her. They were even pushed the last 100 yards in a stroller! I don't ever remember getting pampered like that when I was their age!

Sadie and Ava on their last Trick-o-Treat run

In the end, Sadie came out pretty good on her candy hall. I don't think Mom and Dad will actually let her eat all of this but its fun for her to think! All in all, she had a wonderful Halloween as did Cooper. Another great year with friends!

Look at all my loot!
